Lifetime Achievement Awards* - $125,000
On an occasional basis, when appropriate, the World Technology Network will honor individuals who have shown a consistent level of extraordinary innovation over the course of their career. In February 2004, WTN Fellow Geoffrey Ballard, father of the modern hydrogen fuel cell industry, was honoured with the WTN’s first-even Lifetime Achievement Award. *NOTE: An Award of this type can be suggested by prospective sponsors, or a prospective sponsor can ask the WTN for a list of possible and appropriate honorees. Lifetime Achievement Awards will be given, by definition, on an extremely occasional basis. Sponsors names will appear in the Award name, for example: “The 2004 World Technology Network Lifetime Achievement Award in association with SPONSOR COMPANY NAME.”
Leadership Awards* - $125,000
On an occasional basis, when appropriate, the World Technology Network will honor individuals who have exhibited particularly great leadership within their own industry or for the larger society as a whole. *NOTE: An Award of this type can be suggested (both honoree and specialized Award category) by prospective sponsors, or a prospective sponsor can ask the WTN for a list of possible and appropriate honorees/categories. An extremely limited number of Leadership Awards will possibly be given during any calendar year. Sponsors names will appear in the Award name, for example: “The 2004 World Technology Network Leadership Award for XXXXX in association with SPONSOR COMPANY NAME.”
