Dan Reicher - Director, Climate Change and Energy Initiatives, Google.org

Dan Reicher was co-founder of New Energy Capital Corp., a private equity fund specializing in clean energy. He was an assistant attorney general for environmental protection in Massachusetts, and a legal assistant in the hazardous waste section of the Justice Department. From 1985 to 1992, he was a senior attorney at the Natural Resources Defense Council, an environmental group, and filed suits to compel the departmentÕs nuclear weapons complex to comply with environmental laws. After that, he served in the Clinton administration as a special assistant to Energy Secretary Hazel R. OÕLeary, and eventually as assistant secretary for energy efficiency and renewable energy. In 2008, he advised the Obama campaign on energy issues and appeared as a surrogate in debates on energy issues. He is now the Director of Climate Change and Energy Initiatives at Google.org.
